Andretti Autosport has been growing over the last few years. This year they have already seen success with their Global Rallycross team with drivers Tanner Foust and Scott Speed. Besides the GRC and Indy, they have teams in Indy lights, Formula E, and Pro Mazda, as well as supplying assistance to other teams. The racing powerhouse, founded by Michael Andretti with his infamous father Mario, left sports car racing at the end of 2008.

The teams’ Indy car effort made the switch from Chevrolet to Honda power this year. This partnership has the potential to bring the Andretti team back into the North American sports car scene. It is rumored that Andretti Autosport has been hard at work with Honda developing a pair of HRD ARX-04B LMP coupes for competition in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship for the 2015 season.

No word yet on potential drivers for the two car effort but we can expect to see Andretti Autosport machines leading and winning early on given the professionalism, resources, and wealth of knowledge at their disposal.
