Consider Your Neck Snapped: 650-Horsepower MTM Audi S8

Let’s recall some specs on the stock Audi S8: 520 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque out of a twin-turbo 4.0L V8; naught to 60 in 3.5 seconds, and 11.8 seconds in the quarter-mile. That’s pretty neck-snapping.

Now there’s a version of the Audi S8 modified by MTM. Ringing the cash registers at about $207,000, the MTM S8 taunts the tarmac with 650 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Oddly, MTM claims the 0-62 time on their modified S8 is 4.0 seconds. That seems a bit conservative; however, 62 mph in an Audi S8 feels like 5 mph, so let’s talk top speed: it is electronically limited to 182 mph. What do you think it would do if unlimited? We say 205 mph.
