Not one, but Three Ford GT Test Mules Pulled Over in Colorado!

Being a development driver for the new Ford GT supercar has got to be a pretty sweet gig, but even they have crappy days at the office. One of those days took place in Colorado earlier this week.

These awesome photos by Randy Wyrick from VailDaily.com, show not one, not two, but freaking three Ford GT test mules being pulled over by the Avon Sheriff’s office in Colorado. While I don’t know if the officers first realized what they had just pulled over, I can imagine they eventually got a clue of what they had before their eyes. There’s even a video by Jeremy Cliff (whom I think is actually working with Ford) of the test cars roaming scenic Colorado roads.

Various reports suggest that these test mules were spotted doing around 100 mph in a 50 mph zone by the Colorado State Patrol, who then radioed the message to the local Sheriff’s office, who actually pulled the test Ford GTs over. A spokesperson for the police department commented that all vehicles were outfitted with multiple computers and data-logging equipment, but did not comment on whether fines had been handed (contrary to other reports) or any other infraction procedures.

This goes to show that not even a brand-new Ford GT can outrun a radar and a radio!
