The story goes like this: A Porsche 911 and a Citroën DS lock headlights under the fake Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas. Nine months later (or whatever the official mechanical gestation period is) one of these pop out. But just like the “Eiffel Tower” in Vegas, this Porsche-Citroën 911 DS is a fake — simply a Photoshop exercise made to look real by the folks at Brandpowder. The website even went as far as photoshopping shots of the build process, but it was all just for a fun spoof article, so you won’t see the “911 DS” at SEMA … this year, at least.
That’s a shame because this may be one of the greatest automotive mash-ups ever. Why? It frightens as much as it inspires. This Porsche-Citroën lovechild could be either the product of dreams, or a twisted nightmare. Either way, it’s undeniably fascinating.
