New McLaren 650S Owner Wrecks on Maiden Voyage

Supercars are so well engineered they deliver a false sense of talent which one Englishman experienced crashing his spanking new McLaren 650S on its maiden voyage. The lads at the Telegraph of London broke the story, reporting after the new owner took delivery he personally customized it in under 10 minutes flat. This must be a new record!

It was reported he slammed the front end into a decent sized tree at a moderate speed. But who actually knows right now; the whole undercarriage might be carved up and he might of cracked something carbon like the monocoque McLaren carbon bathtub. You know this guy was goosing it hard and doesn’t want to remember what happened, he still is evading telling police who was driving. It probably only took one thoughtless stab of the pedal.

This new owner likely has never had a proper shakedown on a closed course track. This is where one can feel the limits of grip then test potential emergency maneuvers like this one that just occurred. This is also where one can learn to push for more power and grip for better performance. If you lust after safety and speed, go to a driving school already! Get acquainted with your tools, toys and weapons before you play. When things get serious you can add speed to that control.

What he should have been doing when receiving the new car is examining every detail with the owner’s manual out to make sure his handbuilt McLaren didn’t have many defects.
