Photos of the McLaren 570S Leak Ahead of Official Reveal

Here’s the problem with embargoes. If you show a bunch of people ahead of an official reveal of a product, there’s a chance that someone will leak that ahead of time. Apparently McLaren went to the extra step of forbidding camera phones and other photographic equipment from their preview in New York City.

Guess what? That didn’t help.

You’re looking at official photos of the McLaren 570S as they appear on Jalopnik, including some clever spy photography from inside the event.

Set to debut in a few days at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, the McLaren 570S is a car designed to compete with the Porsche 911. That competition is supposed to be both in performance and price.

By the naming alone, we can assume the 570S will make around 570 horsepower from a twin-turbo V8, and that power will be sent through the rear wheels. Expect a lot of the technology that makes the 650S and P1 so special to trickle down into this version as well.

Visually, the car doesn’t seem to have the active aero rear wing from the P1 or 650S, and the front headlights are a bit different from their stable mates.
