Well, here’s one way to paint a Lamborghini. And hey, if you like that lived-in look, than the world’s first Rich B. Caliente spray-painted Huracan may just be for you.

As for me, well, I’m a huge fan of creativity and thinking outside the box and all that, but I can’t say this “rattle-can” look is what I’d go for here, given the choice. Of course, since it’s not my choice, I can only hope the owner likes it.

I’m assuming the owner, an artist by the name of Zevi, does indeed like it at least well enough to let DUB Magazine interview him about the car, which they’re calling Project インスパイア (Inspire).

The whole thing came about when Zevi saw a painting of a Stormtrooper by another artist, Rich B. Caliente (who was also interviewed). Zevi reached out to Caliente and asked him to paint the car using the labor intensive, color-blending “rattle can” technique that Caliente had used in the painting.

“After some careful thought, I felt confident that I could knock it out of the box even though it was a $200K+ car I’d be using as my canvas,” said Caliente.

Such bravery is certainly the tell-tale sign of a successful artist. Oh wait, owning a Lamborghini Huracan that you allow another artist to paint is actually a better sign.

So, what do you all think of this Caliente Huracan? Is it hot, or not?
