TUSCC 2014: Long Beach Race Recap

The No. 01 Ecoboost Riley-Ford Daytona Prototype of Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas made it two wins in a row for Ganassi Racing. Pruett and Rojas finished a mere 0.759 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP driven by the Taylor brothers, Ricky and Jordan. Third place went to the No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP of Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi.

The only other TUSCC class seeing action this weekend was the GTLM class. The No. 3 Corvette of Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia and the No. 4 Corvette of Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner finished first and third, respectively. Splitting the Corvettes and taking the points lead were Dirk Muller and John Edwards in the No. 56 Team RLL BMW Z4 GTE.

The next event for the TUSCC will be the Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix Powered by Mazda on May 4^th. We will be back to full grid racing, with all four TUSCC classes taking the green flag at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey California.
