By now you’ve probably seen or read a few reviews of the Porsche 911 GT3, which lacks a proper manual transmission, hydraulic steering and a Mezger engine; be that as it may, after driving this car, reviewers are praising its fantastic PDK gearbox, the surprising amount of feel in its electric steering, and the avalanche-inducing yell of its 3.8-liter, 475-horsepower flat-six engine at 9,000 rpm. Despite succumbing to modernity, the 911 GT3 is a great car, but can it survive the litmus test Evo has thrown at it?

In the video below, you’ll see the 911 GT3 competing against a McLaren MP4-12C and a Nissan GT-R. Like a rabid dog, Evo sicced the McLaren on the Porsche to see how fast around the track the GT3 really is. Evo then used the GT-R to gauge whether the GT3 is becoming a bit too electronic in feel.

By the end of this video, you’ll know whether the new 911 GT3 is still the pinnacle of naturally aspirated Porsches.
