Ferrari’s outgoing GT isn’t leaving the scene without a final goodbye from the folks at Vorsteiner. They say their kit takes the 599 a step away from a sports car and moves it closer to a race car. Whether they accomplish all of that is up for debate, but they do manage to cut down on weight by about 70% on the outgoing parts.
The full kit includes the racy front bumper, vented hood and side skirts, and a totally revamped rear end. Doubtlessly, the revised rear aerodynamics add more down force, but they also add ugly. Which is unfortunate, because that’s all people will be seeing on the track when the 599 is on the prowl.
At least, until the F12 shows up.
