Whether you like weekly history lessons in Flashback Friday form or you prefer the feel and timing of a Throwback Thursday, this is one video you don’t want to miss. MotorWeek’s Retro Review series has tackled the classic review of the Ferrari F50. I will admit that the F50 may seem little soft compared to the wicked and groundbreaking F40 that came before it, this Prancing Horse is still an incredible machine.

With a price near $500,000, a 4.7-liter V12 engine based on F1 tech that makes more than 500 horsepower, and futuristic weight saving pieces like magnesium wheels, this Ferrari is still a tour de force in the supercar world, and it deserves respect.

This car is so speed and performance oriented that the usually well-rounded MotorWeek crew spend almost no time discussing interior or design except when explain why it can make the car faster or better to drive. It’s brilliant. Of course there is also lots of V12 symphony background music and plenty of high-speed track shots scattered in to make this one of the best Retro Reviews to hit YouTube so far.

No quit reading and get to watching. The video is only five minutes long, and its worth your attention.
