Not only by the raw speed of the car, but at the amazing wheel work from the driver.
RUF put themselves on the map as a manufacturer when they released the Yellow Bird in 1987. The thing was an absolute animal. Officially it made 469hp, but the reality is it was probably a good deal more than that. It’s top speed was 211 mph. That’s faster than the fastest Porsche at the time, the 959. It was even faster than the fastest Ferrari, the F40. No question, it was, and remains, a dream machine.
