i think its the 3115 but i'm not to sure either... good question though
If you really wanna know for sure with your car, best way to find out is by taking it to the scales. Truck stop or land fill...

There's some info here but the numbers don't seem right.
http://www.connact.com/~kgross/FAQ/944faq02.html

The 86 model were the lightest at around 2800 lbs or less. 87 thru 89 varies on options specially ones ordered without sunroof. A friend of mine has a 88 non S that weighed in 2900 lbs with 1/2 tank of fuel. I have a 88 turbo S that was 3100 with 1/2 of fuel. This is from a public scale.

I can tell you that a stock 86 turbo weighs far more than 2800lbs. My stock PCA class club racing 1986 944 turbos that I maintain come in at about 3050 with a just few gallons of gas in the tank. You do pick up the weight of the cage, but drop weight with lightweight seats, exhaust changes, sound deadening removal, etc.

My 86 turbo comes in at 2670 with about a 1/4 tank of gas, and it has Gt3 seats, no cat, no power steering, no AC, no sound deadening under the carpet, etc, lightweight wiring harness, etc.

Figure about 3100-3200 for a stock off the showroom 944 turbo.

my 89 weighs around 3200. my 88 weighed around 3100.

differences are;
-full power seats (both driver and passenger)
-abs
-lsd

I weighed my '88 turbo S back in '97 on a zero-d gravel scale at 3012 with gas. My '85 Supra was 3200 on the same scale (Mark II).

dry weight?

I believe that Porsche says the dry weight of the car is 2998. Anyone ever suck every once of fluid out? Anyone ever find truth to that or read the same thing? I've seen it more than once and I'm courious.
