997TT Exhaust Sound/Video Clip Thread
Sorry little OT guys, haven't yet purchased Turbo, because I really don't like the standard exhaust (surprise!), and my dealer says if I replace it, it will void the warranty. True? What kind of expenses I may face if something goes wrong (even if it isn't my fault), in the worst case?
Never in my life have I heard a dealer voiding any part of the warranty due to an exhaust replacement with an aftermarket part. Ive also never heard of a exhaust related failure causing damage to any other part of the car.
I would not let this scare you off. Best of luck in your decision.

Only if the exhaust system itself causes some sort of failure in the engine which is still a very slim chance, should your warranty be voided. They must also prove that it was the exhaust system itself that caused the problem.
That sounds very good! And that's the way it should be. Is this Porsches general policy or could there be differences between different countries dealers? I still can't understand why would dealer lie to me, he was very specific, if I replace stock exhaust 2 years engine's warranty will be voided and he sounded sure about this.

Coldstart of 997 TT with Fabspeed exhaust. No high revs, because of the coldstart, so quite boring
, but shot with a HD Cam and good sound quality.

Next week stage 2 : same scene but straight pies

The Gt3 exhaust on the turbo is my fave out of all of them... it sounds almost like a GT3, anyone can provide information on this fabrication? possibly reroute the centre exhaust to double side exhaust again would be perfect for the turbo
Heres our costumers 997tt, we installed a EVT700 kit on it among other performance mods and personal touches to the interior and exterior of the car.
I couldnt help it so when i was done performing a 30K service i started her up before installing the fab-speed exhaust that comes with the kit.
As you can hear, it sounds nice and agressive but as soon as you install the fabspeed, it gets quiet... almost too quiet. sorry no sound clip of exhaust installed.
