In between washes, can you use the QD on a car with light dirt? If you need to remove the dirt first but can't or have time to wash the car, how should you remove the dirt before using the QD?

I try to do weekly washes, but sometimes I don't have time during the day to wash the car and the car collects some dirt while sitting in the garage or when driven couple of times a week. So I thought I could use a QD to get that wash look.
