MartinF: I'm definitely very curious as well compared to a 997S. however, the currently setup is definitely on par with the 997S because reduce # of shifts will also even out the overall acceleration, not to mention the 100+ lb difference. seeing how much i beat the E46M3, whom i also raced in my 997S, I would say the Cayman S is definitely on par with the 997S.

Cajundaddy: nope, i'm too chicken to do timed events, but having tracked the Cayman S before the setup was put it, I can tell you for sure that in a lot of turns that I needed to go down to 2nd due to a lack of power on the way out, I can now do in 3rd. what does that mean in lap time? I can't say for sure, but as far as before and after runs against the same E46M3, the acceleration improvements are staggering.

TighTT: thank you, and I do mean THANK YOU because your thread comparing the two software setup had a significant impact in me choosing to go with the RS350. I hope my testing will help others make a more informed decision.

pearlcoupeg35: the setup retails for $4900. with the economy where it's at right now, you may be able to source parts cheaper used from people, which is what I did. the Milltek exhaust was used from CayGirl, the EVO intake was also sourced elsewhere. depending on how much work you're having done by the shop, you may also be able to strike a deal with the installer/vendor. my entire setup, with the combination of both new and used parts, ran me around 3000 bucks. if you can do your own install, that'll save you a bunch too, which is what I did for some parts. hope that helps, feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
