I have a '08 cayenne and it has the mp3 cdr enabled stereo. So each cdr easily fits over 100 tracks. After spending countless hours making a cd, I find that several tracks always seem to not be recognized by my player. *frustrating* The stereo either says that it can't read it and skips to the next track or just changes to the radio.
Often when it switches to the radio, the cd gets stuck and doesn't even eject saying that there's no cd. Eventually (10 to 30 minutes later) the cd comes out after hitting eject.

I've read that certain brands do better in certain players. I was wondering what cdr makes people have had the most success with.

Same problem here, Cayenne cd players are picky on CDRs. I suggest you to use well known higher quality brand CDRs and avoid those colorful CDRs. Also, burn disks at slower rates rather than the max speed of your burner..

 

Use the Sony CD-R Audio 80min. Also burn your MP3's at a slower speed like at 16x instead of the highest. It's not that much longer but you get a better burn.

I have never had a problem with it and the Audio CD doesn't give you problems after a few times. Older CD-R's I used that were for data played a few times and then crapped out on me. Drove me nuts. So the Audio CD-R's have another coating on them from what i was told. But Burning at slower speeds also helps!

The sticking or the player trying to read the disc and the laser is getting confused hitting the bad media/burn. Kinda like when a needle on a record goes off track from a bad record.

I use Roxio 2009 and its a great program.

 

On mac, you can use Toast, which is also a great software for burning.

 

Much appreciated. Yeah I've tried burning at the slowest speed possible using Sonic program.
I'm going to have to go cdr shopping at try different apps.
