2009 power seat question

Boardwalk the local dealer told me it is normal that my power seat works some times when I am driving. It just turns on when it wants to and shuts off when it feels like it.

The other dealer is contacting Porsche to confirm this but they thing something maybe wrong....

Anyoe else have this problem?

The power seat does not work. Moving the seat back foward up down does not work
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt, it just shuts off randomly...

Thought you were talking about an active m5 seat scenario.
But I have no clue or ever heard of your issues. Let us know.

That is NOT normal, probably an earth problem by the sounds of it. Have also had some connections not fully clipped "home' on the odd new car, not specific to seat loom though.

i can't believe that a dealer would say crap like that - ask them if anything else is supposed to work at random times!

anyway - it is a German car not English, so that type of problem is just BS.

Doesnt make sense, its not like the porsche has a generator and it needs to recharge while driving

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn, = normal.
whoever stated this is talking out his/her ***.

it's not a fuel cell that needs recharged.
It's something that is wrong with your car.
Mine works all the time, key in, key out, car on, car off.

get it fixed and tell whomever stated that, to never speak again, unless he /she is 100% sure in his/her answer.

I can tell you the reason for this is:
It is my wifes truck and she brought it up to the dealer. So they thought she is stupid and would just say "ok that makes sense"
I know that absolutely insane, this is not my first or second Cayenne.... they said it was new on 2009
anyone else want this feature??????

his vehicle was brought in for a dirvers side seat inoperable at times. We inspected the vehicle and it worked as designed. He was never told they only work at times. If we could duplicate the condition i can assure you we would repair it.
