Apples to Oranges? That's a bit over the top. They are both two door american muscle sport coupes with big motors. The ZR-1 still has a better weight/power ratio and better gearing as well. The ACR has AC and anything you need to drive it on the street.

Viper vs Corvette has been THE major attraction since the Viper came on the scene in the early 90's and is one of the keystones of American performance vehicle comparisons.

Seems some of the Corvette guys don't want to see that inevitable spanking the ZR-1 would take. Everyone else has gotten their beat down, time the ZR-1 got some too. They can put a scud, GT2, LP-560 and V-spec out there too so it lightens the blow a little.

I did see a test of the ZR-1 vs the Z06 and C6 and the ZR-1 beat the Z06 by 2 seconds, we know the ACR has beaten the Z06 by MANY MANY more seconds than that on most every occasion so it kind of goes without saying what's going to happen.

The GT-R is harder to drift than a 997 TT or 997 GT3, therefore if you are trying to drift, the GT-R will consequently get a faster lap. Normal apexing and driving not included.

See Evo and Car magazine for details.
