Sloopy - you are incorrect about the S2000 weight distribution - the Honda is a F/M car with 50/50 or 49/51 (depending on the source) weight distribution. The engine is not between the wheels - it is set back towards the firewall.
Misunderstood my statement. Most of the cars weight is between front and rear wheels rather than being forward or rearward of axles. (Engine behind the front wheels.) Weight is considered 50/50 over the wheels front to back. While some cars come close to this balance, their weight is outside of axles which results in slower transitions. Honda is brilliant here, just not as good as the Boxster IMHO. Car rotation point is about where your knees are. This is the trick of the Boxster feel. Rotation point is at your hip.

One way to figure this out is go to halfway point between front and rear wheels and put a piece of tape. Now open the door and see where this is in realtion to the seat. On Boxster do the same after figuring 48% of the wheel base then put tape this distance behind the front wheels. Open the door and you should see what I mean.
