EPL/Tial Alpha 28rs turbos installed
Drag radials are not needed for a low 6sec time. I ran my one and only 60 130 in 5.5 seconds on Yokohama Advan Neovas. Having significantly more power and tq than is being mentioned in this thread only makes street tires an even larger handicap for me, but it can be done. There are no absolutes....
? Where and when did you run your time? Was it in 40deg weather on old asphalt roads? It took me from February until April to get a decent time and MOST of my issues were traction. I finally got a decent time with drag radials. It kinda takes traction issues out of the equation...

If there are no absolutes, how do you know he DOESN'T need drag radials

You made my point about conditions for me. Lol.
I agree and I would not have bought them special just for that either. I happen to have a buddy who had a set of half used for nothing, so I stuck them on my spare wheels and went out. I also use them when I go to the track. I do not drive on the street with them.
That´s correct, forgot to mention it.
It´s 93MON
It was done on streettires and ESP on.

FWIW I went my 6.2 60-130 (With passenger) on 19" PS2's. I also went an 11.07 @ 137mph with 19" PS2s. I am not saying that drag radials wouldn't have helped my ET/MPH (I was out of gear, my 1/8th MPH was 109). I just didn't need them to get a good time out of my car since she is full weight and AWD.

Chris, that makes sense to me. I went 6.2 on a very cool night with drag radials going down hill. As of yet, I haven't duplicated it, although I do have a couple 6.3's. We don't have the nice flat concrete roads you have down there. Also, I had crappy worn out PS2's on the car for the longest time. Between that and the cold, I had no traction the first month or two I was trying for a good time. I started in February and it took until April to do it. I'm very sure your car with drag radials and no fat-a$$es in the passenger seat would easily run mid to high 5's, if not faster.
He means downhill as in somewhere between 0-3% decline, which is the acceptable range for a "recognized" 60-130 time on this forum.
I don't think Drag Radials will help this setup considering I have 0 wheelspin
I know it's got some 5s in here without a problem. I am going RWD soon (so I WILL need drag radials) and I have GT3 Seats now. So getting rid of _Zac's 150lbs and the 100-120lbs like that should help out a TON! But by next winter I hope to have some new mods and will be shooting for a REALLY low number!

Chris, I think your car should trap an easy of 140 ish with those turbos. I had a best of 136mph with GT28's and 1/8 of 108. Your 1/8 mile could also improve with good tires I think. I achieved all those on 19psi too. Full weight and all, not too bad my friend. RWD is awesome though, I must say. You can feel the car alive.

Although the RWD conversion should be good for a few mph vs an AWD car set up the same way

Flashed the 4th file today from Tony.... we are gradually upping the boost as he is making minor changes.... each flash has shown improved drivability/smoothness over my previous Stage 2 flash, esp at low rpms. And I love the fact that Tony just emails me a file, I go out and plug in my laptop and it loads in 10 minutes, give or take. Makes me feel involved in the process a little.
The thing really spools instantly off idle and is a ripper in 1st and 2nd. I am peaking/holding 1.0 bar for now. The 3rd and 4th gears WOT pull pretty strong too, but I imagine once we do 1.2-1.3 bar it will really continue to pull in those gears.
Very happy so far and I can appreciate Tony easing me into the higher boost and making small adjustments to the files, but I am such an impatient SOB it is very hard ti wait!
