Congrats on the car and excellent review! I saw a BS SL65 at a dealer here, its just amazing in person. Cant wait to see the results of the friendly pull with Jitsu...

I raced my friends SL65 , it wasnt even close. Now the BS SL65 with lightweight parts might be different.

AWESOME CAR. I just have a question and I am not trying to be a dick. Why would you take this over a 599 ferrari or Lambo Murc? I am not sure if you own of those 2 other cars but I just find that car sooooo overpriced. Like I said I am not trying to be an ******* but I just wonder what made you want that car over a ferrari or lambo. Best of luck with it and Black is the ONLY color to get

 

I would say two big reasons^

Something different from the crowd. And maybe he's a benz gearhead!

I wont deny these cars are most definitely lookers. I recently watched Top Gear and ol' jeremy didnt have the kindest words for this car.

Ive seen silver in person. Never black. Looks great and congrats.

Picked up my SL65 some months ago, almost looks bland when you compere it with this beast!

 

I understand what you are asking. The 599 is bad ***, and the LP640 is amazing as well. But they both will be replaced by newer, better versions (very soon for the Murci), and are built in much greater numbers than the one year only SL65 Black. When i saw it in person on the showroom floor....I was sold...end of story!

As far as the Italians go....I think the upcoming 458 Italia in Tour De France Blue would look good next to the SL.

 

I hope this keeps value like the Carrera GT and the SLR does. There's an identical one in Naperville IL MB showroom, still for sale. Saw it in person...it's a showstopper alright.

 

It will be interesting to see how the F. 458 will look in Tour De France Blue; probably a very good match.

 

the funny thing is, even with all those great photos it still does not reflect the vehicle in person. I believe it to be one of those hard to shoot vehicles. very nice write up and pictures, and of course vehicle
