Interesting, Bro. Todd K says that the EP is not hurting me up top just cuasing some delay on my spool up.

Just got mine few days ago, and can't wait to put it on. I can't wait to kiss stock exhaust sound goodbye.

If buying today,

I would consider one of John's cross flow exhausts http://www.speedtechexhausts.com/page34.html

Crossover designs (not perfect, but as good as a turbo 99x gets):

Switzer
Speedtech's cross flow (new design)
Markski's design
GMG
UMW
Probably others...these come to mind. I have a Switzer and it is wonderful!

Jeff

i think something should be clarified here.

some of these exhausts are tuned for sort of different circumstances. a 2.5" exhaust is not for a highly modded car. yes it an improvement over stock but if your gonna be making 600+ your looking in the wrong category

some of these exhausts are out there just for a certain sound. for a bit of performance, weight savings but no drone okay for the average guy awesome flash, bolt ons stock turbos great choice for 2.5"

for someone with a mod BUG or someone with bigger turbos your gonna want to be in the 2.75-3inch range. now your going to be playing performance or sound back n forth.

the larger diameter exhausts are built with performance first and sound second. what good is an exhaust ona 700hp car that performance is second to sound.

compare apples to apples here guys marksi's exhausts are gonna be hard to beat performance wise with any other exhaust anywhere near the price range.

don't compare an average smaller diameter exhaust to one thats 1/2" bigger n weighs less they are in different classes.

if you want power get a marksi or one of the other large diameter cross design type systems, are these going to be the exhaust the manufactuer spent hundreds of hours tuning the resonance so theres no drone? for the daily driver of conservative flavor probably not they will be high flowing high horsepower making and have that great turbo whine. and most likely the lightest with your choice of metal. but you can get them in quiet db levels for street use.

and for the record i dont have any affiliation with anyone, my post here is to try n help some people that may not have the knowledge or experiance with modding cars.

i will say one thing support people who make their products in the USA we need to try n stay strong asa industry and support our own players who are here helping us go fast n stay on the road.

EP built this exhaust for me. It sounds great, has a very slight drone. It will be installed on a motor that will make 1000 hp @ 1bar and over 1600 hp @ 2.5 bar.

No, the flow is about 70% greater than the 70mm exhaust. They were built as a one off.

Nice...I know my exhaust will be the restriction point on my car once my full proto intake is in, but I can't give up the sound.
