Hey everyone, I have been in contact with speedART and there has actually been a revision on the mufflers since they posted the video. The sound is the same but the they have designed the mufflers themselves to eliminate the use of the center muffler or x-pipe.

Here is the newest shot of the mufflers. You can see the difference at the base of the muffler itself. The lower tube wraps back 180 degrees and attaches directly to the cats. This design eliminates the use of the center muffler.

The mufflers are available in 4 versions; 2-5 (Version 1 being the X-pipe option)

Version 2: speedART sport mufflers for use with OE tips
Version 3: speedART sport mufflers with dual 90mm speedART tips
Version 4: speedART sport mufflers with sound switch for use with OE tips
Version 5: speedART sport mufflers with sound switch with dual 90mm speedART tips

Pictured: Version 5 Mufflers with Sound Switch and speedART dual 90mm tips

Pictured: The OEM setup has 2 side mufflers and the center muffler. You can see the headers and the cats directly off the headers. The speedART mufflers attach direct to the cats.

Hi,

Do you have any new videos available? of the X-pipe only? Has the sound changed with the deletion of the center pipe in the model that bolts straight to the cats? Also, could you please pm me your best price for the one with the tips and without tips boith with the switch? Thanks, (I could not pm because of low posts)

speedART does have a video of a 997.2 with the OEM soundswitch exhaust and the speedART X-pipe: http://www.speedart-tuning.de/2008/en/press-videos.html

Regarding the systems that bolt directly to the cats, according to speedART the sound did not change with the deletion of the center muffler, because of the design changes to the side mufflers. Prices can be found here:

Version 4: speedART sport mufflers with sound switch for use with OE tips
Version 5: speedART sport mufflers with sound switch with dual 90mm speedART tips
