Is the leather sport padded steering wheel in the 997 aniline leather?

Was wondering if the steering wheel below is considered aniline leather.

I don't know what kind of leather it is, but the XPA wheel feels sooooo much better than the stock wheel which to me feels like plastic. Check Sunset Imports too. They have good prices.

+1 on that. I have the XPA in mine and have felt the stock wheel and agree the stock one feels very plastic.

I'm asking b/c I made a small scratch on the bottom of my steering wheel and I found a product that works on aniline leather only to repair it.

It feels as soft as the leather in other P-cars w/ the natural leather option...so hence my question and the fact that this steering wheel is suppose to be using the "premium leather".

Aniline has not been used in leather tanning for many years because it is toxic. Modern leather tanning techniques result in leather without the traditional aroma. Therefore, artificial "leather smell" is added to make the consumer feel better about the money they spent.
