Sorry to belabor the point, but I am on my way to LA to pick up my 997 and drive it back home (appprox. 400 miles). I would like to take the coast and other less traveled roads. Maybe I am being paranoid, but I have never driven a car without a spare. I have access to a 993 spare when I pick up my car, and was told it "should" work. It does look similar to the 996 spare and is small than the ones pictured by carfan, which looks to me like a boxster spare. I don't think the boxster spare will fit in the trunk unless it is deflated, which is obviously possible to do. If carfan is still on line, can you tell me if what is pictured is it is a boxster spare? The question I would really like answered is will the 993 spare work (has anyone tried it on a 997)? Thanks
