911 4S PDK issues

I have 2014 911 4S with PDK 5K miles and have continuous erratic problems with PDK while in manual mode, shifting from 1st to 2nd spontaneously.

I use the manual mode 100% of the time.

The unwanted shift does not happen all the time and seems to only occur while making a 90 deg turn -- although that may be coincidental...

BTW all these incidents are low speed / low RPM LT 3K.

From time to time it may shift from 1st to 3rd or 2nd to 4th but the gear skipping may have happened at the same time I was shifting using the paddle.

I know with certainty that the 1st to 2nd spontaneous shift happens without my touching the paddles.

Dealer says they "haven't seen this" then later said "this is normal" to which I said that is illogical since it doesn't happen every time and what's the point of a manual shift if it shifts automatically some of the time.

I am at the beginning of the resolution process and will ask Porsche to replace all the related parts if they can't solve it with firmware but wanted to see if this is a common issue.

Anyone having a similar problem?

Have your dealer run your vin. There has been countless updates to the pdk control unit. Even the DME updates will update the pdk afterwards. So either way you will benefit from it
