Ultima Sports Cars

Anyone have any experience with these kit cars? My buddy is very interested and he's thinking of building one.

I looked at them. Think they are very cool, but the price tag is a bit much. I figured 150,000 to build one the way i wanted.

I think their price range is pretty wide depending on how you spec it.

As someone already said, its more of a race car than a kit car. It will suck the doors off of just about anything on the track too.

0-100-0 in 10.3s in one configuration.

ultima

If you'd like information on the Ultima let me know. We are currently developing and building them for customers. We have a naturally aspirated 3.6l and are developing a twin turbo version soon. You can purchase or use our ride and drive capabilities.

Old thread, BUT, they are less then that I have been looking at them a LOT lately, they just use a Chevy V8 and Porsche tranny. You can piece the kit together, the company has many options on how to order it.

Word.

Some might rather throw a vette powertrain into a Miata or Solstice. The only thing that will get you close to the Ultima weight is the Miata - I think. Don't forget the cage - plus downforce if you're going for top speed runs (and save the boeing 747 wings, please).

The price is justified from the mind set of the performance though, not the fact that it is a "kit car" which is also arguable to some.

It ran 1m12.8s at the Top Gear track:

Old thread or not (which was not bumped by me, thank you) ... I'm just saying....
