Slow to respond to this "913 issue" but the only way a 913 ever "existed" was the time a Porsche Salesman told a customer in 1976, "yes sir it's a 911, 912 or 913, whatever it takes!".

220, 221 . . .

My proudest day as a business owner was in a large meeting and someone answered a question with 220; I was able to pipe in with "220, 221, whatever it takes!" Half the room rolled the other half was clueless (which happens a lot according to my wife with my warped sense of humor).
We have a pool in our backyard and a new development is being built behind our house with a man made pond. I can now tell someone, "I've got a pool and a pond; the pond would be better for you!". You're good if you know this line from a #1 classic.
913 does not exist. I have the original 911 sales brochure that my Dad got when he went to the 1963 Frankfurt auto show where the 911 was first seen and it is all 911. It doesn't get any earlier than that....
There is no such thing as a Porsche 913 never being used , never fabricated there were only 2 912s from 1967 - 1969 with the 616 Engine from the 356 SC and the last 1976 912E with a Type IV Engine borrowed from the 914 , 2.0 Lts.

Actually, it was known as the 901, but thanks to a french company who owns the rights to zero in the middle for their crap, I mean cars, the 901 then became the 911. I'm not sure how they got away with using 904/906 & 908, othother than maybe because they were race cars.
On the 913, I have seen one, a local guys owns it
