Great looking project! I've had my silver 914 since new in Dec 1970- it was my first car. The red 2.0 is from a widow of one of my best friends- she wanted me to have it when he died from a rare disease at a much too young age so I can relate...someday it's going to be all "redone" as well...

I just picked up a NOS factory LSD for a 901, with any luck, I'll be shipping the tranny tp iSystems next week to get that part going (he also built the engine and was building the race engines for the Brumos 59 914-6 and Klubsport too) then, just need the time to set it all up & put it together
My 76 914 2.0 was left to me by a friend who passed too young too, and that will be started in the fall.

Tried to sign up for the past several months and it would never accept my email address. My son finally got me in...BTW, had a 996 GT3- fantastic car!!! Had one of about every kind of Porsche over the years except for a 928- but the 914 is still my sentimental favourite!!!

$65K? Yikes! Here is my $8K 914-6 GT replica Bought a 2.4 911 E motor with oil tank and 40 mm IDA webers for $2000 on ebay. Did fenders all bodywork and paint for less than $4K. Used 911 SC suspension and brakes for $200. Bought used BBS wheels and tires for $1200. Built it in 4 weeks.

Now for the bad news. Because I had so little into it I felt compelled to turn it into a chop top racer. LOL!
