Hey guys. I'm considering the purchase of a track day car and came across what looks to be a nice 924S. Where's a good place to find out more info about the car (technical specs, etc), and can these be tweaked to extract more performance out of and how much (i.e. how fast can I get it to go)?
Also, are they all equipped with a turbo (924S)?
Thanks for the help!

The 924S is not a turbo car. It uses the standard 2.5L 944 engine. Powerwise, you aren't going to get much out of, unless you are willing to spend some fairly big money. Concentrate on a good quality suspension, and you will have fun with the car.

Very fun cars, simple, not real fast, but are fun for DEs, if you are looking for a DE only car, you might want to check out my 944 track car.

The 924S is really a 944 but with a 924 body. We race them in 944-Spec, and the performance is nearly identical... they're lightweight like an early 944, both '87 and '88 have the short 5th gear that the '88 944 got, and the '88 has the high compression '88 944 engine. The downsides are that they have narrower track width than a 944, stock rims are only 15x6 (we put 15x7 on them), and of course they don't look as good as 944. Power is only 150-160hp, but they handle great and they're tons of fun to race. And best of all, they're cheap.
