I love mine, and track it. The final drive was lower to keep is slower (top end) than the 944. Porsche doesn't like it when thier low end modles are faster than the higher $$$ cars

I haven't seen any 924's around for years. They were nice cars, even if a little on the small side. I think they looked like the precurser to the 944...maybe 968, another car that didn't stay around very long.

Well, the 924 started as a design for a VW sports car, but after the 914 run ended in 1976, which is why it has Super Beetle front susp, Audi wheels engine & tranny, Porsche used the design for their opening Porsche and did grow into the 944 (1982) then later the 968(1992).
They built the 924 until 1988, in 87 it gained the 944 running gear & susp and came back to the USA as a 924S.

So I'm keeping this thread alive. Does anyone here own or know someone that owns a 924 CGT? I know they are rare and know of a few in the US. I might have an opportunity to purchase one and wanted to ask if that is a good move. Can I find parts for this car? Are there cross over parts from the 924. Any problems with these cars?

Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
I have had a few friends who have owned them, if the price is right, it would be a good move.
