928 question for a friend
I have a friend who is one of those rare people who doesn't use the Internet.
![]() He has a pristine 77' "grey market" car brought in from Germany and the radio recently died. There's no way a new unit will fit without doing a hack job. Any suggestions on a replacement? TIA! .

Were those Blaupunkts at the time in the car? If so, there are 4 holes around the face of the stereo that a pair of special tongs fit into in order to unlock the tabs behind. These will help you pull the stereo out.
If he wants to keep the original radio, he can have it refurbished. Chances are he'll want something more modern. Stereo removal isn't too difficult.
