Hi,

I have seen these pictures and I think it is going to be very helpful for me, because I am a student of engineering . Thanks for sharing.

105RWHP @ tq at 4.5psi (so far), no reliabilitly issues, though the dyno showed that my fuel pump was out of juice; though I don't consider that a "reliability" issue. No issues in 4k miles & 10 months of fairly hard driving.

Congrats. I have owned as 928S4 and considered buying another one for fun. I always look for boosting a car. Can you clarify the 105 rwhp for me. was that the gain? Will you add a bigger pump and injectors so you can boost more? is your motor fresh or still on original mile, whatever that is.

Anyhow, congrats!

Hi Andy,

My car dyno'd 302rwhp/294 tuned before I bolted on the turbo kit. The kit comes with injectors and your pump should be good for at least 440rwhp or so, mine appeared to be a little weak. I'd go ahead & spend another $200 before you start tuning, as I was trying to tune to a weak pump & now that my new Bosch 044 pump is nice & strong, my mixtures are all too fat. My motor is an un-touched '86 in my '86 car with 21k miles on it: basically a new, turbocharged 928.

Mark, I'm in Dallas and looking for a good mechanic or shop for my 928. Any suggestions? I see you're in Austin, do you use or know of anyone down there as well?

I do all my own work, but for routine AC work or such, I'd use TPWS on N. Lamar: owner has a 928 & is fluent in 928's.

Also, Mike Stence at Phoenix Motor works is a world of knowledge, 928's too. Sorry, dunno anyone in Dallas.

Thanks Mark. I wish I had a good reliable mechanic in Dallas. I have a bunch of questions for you regarding your turbo install. I'm on the fence between SC (twin screw) and single turbo. What type of FI system would you use if you had it to do over again, and why? Would you consider helping me with an install. I would pay you of course!

For either an S or S4, I'd stick with the stock FI but would opt for 36# injectors, a Bosch 044 fuel pump, & the $$Sharktuner: makes for a great & simple setup & tuning...with a Wideband O2 of course.

I'll be at the OCIC '09 at the end of the month at the Arlington Convention Center: could be upwards of 100 928's there! You going??

I'll have my car + the majority of a full kit to show.

Mark

I'm sorry Mark. By FI, I meant Forced Induction. Which type would you do if you had to do it all over again? And yes I'm going to the OCIC. It's too close to miss this year.

I've had 2 Supercharged cars & have driven yet 2 more: there's no comparison: Turbocharging is SOOO much more fun, interesting, pleasurable, exotic, cost effective, etc. Look forward to meeting you! Come say hi: you can't miss my car.

Is your turbo kit from 928Turbosports? Or did you develop your own?
