Best looking wheels for a 928
Hey guys I'm doing some shopping and wondering what you think are the best looking wheels are for a 928. I'd like 18" with 225 in the front and might go as wide as 275 in the rear for tires (michelins )

I had some CCW wheels made with the max size that would fit the front: 9.5x18 et68. The rears are 10x18 et52. I run 265/35/18 front and rear.
They are 1 piece forged and are 19.2 and 20.6 lbs f/r. I also can use my original center caps. Maybe not the best looking, but one of the best for weight/strength/size. Having a mismatched front (225) to rear (275+) size gives you worse and worse understeer. To have more meat up front means you can corner faster without having the front end wash.

I've seen them with the 911 turbo twist wheels looking real nice, but those BBS type look real solid on there as well. Throw some painted calipers behind them and it would be legit.

I like 18" ROH Modena's from Australia.
I also like 17" Cup III (993 turbo) replicas but heard they are heavy. Here are some pictures: Last edited by coast928; 12-30-2007 at 10:53 AM. Reason: removed ROH web link from post. |

There are some really nice wheels that are available for the 928. I previously had a 1982, that I put a set of 17" Turbo twists, and I currently have a 1991 S-4, that I have 18" Sport Designs. I had them custom chromed and painted by Fast Forward Wheels in San Gabriel. I often get asked if they are after market, and I tell people that they were OEM on the 996 and they are made by BBS. Here are a couple of pics of both cars
