Thought some of you guys might appreciate this classic beauty. Sold her a while back but miss her 'til this day. '88, factory turbo widebody cab, 4 speed , was always a blast to drive. Had her from '89 - '05, sold her to an enthusiast in the east. Was very happy to put her in capable hands

That's a beautiful car Chuck. I was just reading a thread yesterday about how you made the decision to make it the car it is today rather than keep it an investment garage queen with no miles or mods.
It's always a difficult decision to make...especially when you have something that's listed as one of 40 with the authentication to go with it...but I didn't buy it as an investment, although I'm not saying that I'd mind if it appreciated while I owned and enjoyed it. I went back and forth for quite a while, and bought all the upgrade parts one at a time but didn't make the decision till fairly recently to actually install the upgrades...the driveability is so much nicer...smoother, more linear, more dependable, and the sound is spectacular. I think I said that I did keep all the original parts so I can retro it to a stock vehicle if someone wants a concours car....but after driving it both ways, I so much prefer it this way....and after all, all the performance enhancements are bolt-ons, so it's really not much of a deal to retro it.
I will in all likelyhood be selling it next year....my knees are getting to the point where the shifting is becoming an issue, especially in San Francisco traffic...I'll probably have to look for a tip as much as I dislike the idea. But in the meantime....it's a blast to drive with the top down and autumn is upon us so the cool weather makes it a wonderful time to drive and enjoy.

Someday you'll have one and it will be white, I just know it.
and then i'm counting on YOU to get the black one! now THAT would be one hot photoshoot! =D
The 930 Turbo has always been my dream car. Last fall I went to the Sunriver car show, there were alot of nice cars there but the 930 was my favorite, someday I will have my 930. I hope that photoshoot takes place someday, I know we both have a real love for the 930.
