Starting after Wither Storage

Hello, I am looking to start up my turbo after winter storage. I have made all of the necessary checks on belts, battery level, etc., is there anything more I need to do?

Once the engine is fired up and at operating temp, should I just coast around and use up all of the gas or can I drive normally and experience the turbo after 7 months? I used all the proper methods for storing and used Sta-bil in the gas tank. I have had a friend advise that I need to burn off the old gas (entire tank) before I can even go on boost? The car is completely stock and I am afraid that wasting the old gas could be quite difficult. and unnecessary.

Thanks for your advice and assistance since this was my first winter storing a car and I was able to find all kinds of information on how to store a car, but very little on bringing the car back after storage.
