I own a 1990 951 (late model with 968 wing, Desing 90's, etc.), and I'm very happy and satisfied with the car, but I feel the suspension is too soft and I'm not confortable in fast turns, etc.
The car has lots of power, and I'm not planning major engine upgrades for now. The main reason because I want to upgrade the suspension is that I think the car runs more that it handles. For example, I feel safer with my old 924 than with the 951.
Any ideas about upgrading the ride? Sway bars, suspension, rods, etc. I'm completely a newbie about this....
Thanks in advance.

If turns are what bothers you I agree with Grant, Ihave 2 951's in my collection one is mild and one is wild. Sway bars will keep the car from leaning, but if oversteer is what is scaring you then soften the front shocks on your adjustable koni's and you will increase understeer. The flat adjuster on top your shocks should be turned counter clockwise until it stops at full stop and then adjust them (clockwise)harder as you wish.

+1 Karl hooked me up with suspension for my S2 track car over 10 years ago.
On my '88 Turbo I had Koni adjustables, Weltmeister sway bars, Racer's Edge bushings for the front control arms, Weltmeister camber truss and that was it as far as suspension was concerned. Very minor stuff but the car ran beautifully at Roebling Road but was still a great street car. I had 17" wheels wider than the stock ones but I can't recall their exact width. This was my DD until I got an '87 Carrera Coupé to replace it... deep inside, though, I miss the 951 a lot.
When it came to brakes, I just put some Weltmeister stainless steel braided lines, cross drilled rotors, Pagid brake pads and that was about it too. The car's brakes never let me down in track driving.
The car had a factory limited slip. On the engine side, I just had a Lindsey Racing intercooler (the biggest one that was able to be mounted under the stock nose panel), changed ALL the vacuum lines to blue silicone lines with brass fittings from Lindsey Racing, the Lindsey Racing boost enhancer, billet blow-off valve, Autothority chip, K&N filter on the stock air box, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, B&B cat back exhaust with stock headers. I also had the stock turbocharger rebuilt and everything else was stock. Believe it or not, it was as fast from 0 to 100mph as my 2004 996 C4S! What a great car! I may be getting a Turbo S this time.
I have looked at the dry sump setup from Lindsey Racing but, since I don't have a 951 anymore, I haven't called them to enquire as to where would the oil tank be mounted on the car. I definitely wouldn't want it or any oil lines inside the car.
