Why is 944 resale so poor?

But can you also post interior pics?

Well this has been an interesting thread read to say the least. I have owned 2 944's N/A (1985 1/2 /1987) as well as a 1987 951. Having been stationed in Germany, I got hooked on the (poor mans Porsche, lol) as obviously a lowly enlisted man could not afford a 911. But I used to go to the Porsche Museum and dream a lot. Driving one of these cars on the Autobahn, you would not consider the 944 to be a poor mans Porsche as they could hold their own. I've always loved the look, the solid feel, the build quality and the performance back in the day. I would buy one now if my wife would let me to tinker and I had garage space.
After leaving Germany I bought a 1988 M3, US Specs. I drove it and enjoyed it for a while and then got a crazy idea that I wanted a Benz. I remember putting an add in the autotrader for the M3, my phone was blowing up and I did not get it at the time. Now some 20+ years later I see I should have kept the M3.
So I bought a 1987 190E 16v, as well as a 16v Scirocco. Loved both of those cars, but still had a soft spot for another 951. To me the 951 is the epitome of the 944 lineup.
I was surprised to see that some think the 944 is ugly, but everyone has an opinion. I think a lot of you all are right on many points. Yes there were many of them made, it is getting harder to find one with low milage, and those are going up in value, and the 944 kept Porsche floating in the 80's. I was there at the factory pretty often drooling looking over the fence and there were a lot of 944's ( 924 Carrera's, Turbo Cup editions etc.)and 928's on the lot, much more than 911's.
I to hope in time the 944 will be looked upon as what it was meant to be in America. In Europe, good ones are snapped up quickly. I might even try to find some good ones here in the states ( cheap ) and ship them back (export) to Europe and sell them. US Spec models in Europe are very desirable because of the A/C and safety standards.
Just my .02 ! Cheers and long live the 944.
