That car is sick and was part off my reason for dragracing my old porsche, and gives me the itch to do it very soon again...
Good job Eddie keep holding it down..
Jesus man - this car and this guy are the reason i'm into high hp aircooled motors...in street cars looking to break 1k soon when I rebuild the 3.8 - and this guy is my inspiration
He is the reason and inspiration for MANY of us, often we get caught on the he said she said, the guy is a down to earth guy, humble and a gear head machine.
It took me almost 10 long years to finally meet him. One of the most memorable moments of my quest for power and speed with a Porsche was to have the opportunity to walk to him holding the magazine with the article about the record and been able to shake his hand. He can truly make a Porsche motor go.
Eddie will be running a standing mile event on Oct 11 in South Fla. He'll do some testing there before leaving for the Texas mile event the following weekend. I expect him to go much faster than the 226.8mph he did a year ago running into a very strong head wind.
