Just so everyone realizes, this car won't be cooped up in some garage to let accumulate dust for years and years.
Like all of Mr. Drendel's collection, these cars are displayed several times during the year at various events and shows (Rennsport Reunions, Various Concours and several PCA events).
Just so you fellows are aware, here's a few of the icons that the "Bad Boys" car will accompanied by...
Löwenbräu 962-HR1
Löwenbräu 962-103 (Winningest 962 in History)
2.1 Martini "Baby Turbo" (The First 911 Turbo)
917/30
959 Sport
959 Prototype
McLaren/Porsche MP4/3 Formula 1 car
934 ( Jägermeister Car)
935
968 Turbo RS
944 Le Mans
924 GTP Le Mans
993 GT2 EVO
993 GT1 (Ex-Factory Team/Works car)
In my quest to set the record straight, there's been some speculation from a few members that this car will be nothing more than a trailer queen and won't even be driven. Let me be the first to tell you Mr. Drendel, personally, drives and shows each of the cars in his collection...Whether it be a Löwenbräu 962-103 or a 924 GTS. I can assure you this car will be no exception.

Well have to take your word on that. Although a 924GTS and a 917 fall into totally different categories. I love my 94 turbo but if I had a 917 to take out to the track I doubt I would be taking my 94 turbo. I think this car falls under the heading of novelty more than it does racing pedigree.

Yeah Matt's collection is incredible, listening to him tell about all the different cars was a blast. He put the championship medal from the Low. 962 around my neck and took a pic with my camera...
Matt's a great guy - and his collection is astounding.
Drendel Collection? This must be related to the Mr. Drendel who's the CEO of a public company in Hickory, NC right? I have met him before at a business function and he indeed is a very nice gentleman.
