I have a set of Fikse Fm-10's which have a satin finish. I would like to know if anyone has any recommendation for re-doing these wheels in Anodized black or Powder coating them black - also a recommendation on who to use in the New York area.
Thanks,

I have the same Fikse's, it is a major pain in the ass. That anodized finish is tough as hell but is the absolute lightest coating available. The best best is the re-anodize. Powdercoating "Forged" Alum wheels was frowned upon when I looked due to the heat. Some places said no problem others said not a good idea. BTW: Painting and clear would add 1 lb per wheel according to my wheel guy.
Good luck.

Proformance in New Rochelle, Westchester County. Aka the Wheel Guy.
Builds 3pc wheels in house, custom fabrication and powder coating. They are regarded as one of the best Wheel shops around. They even build some 3pc wheels for some major companies.

There is a place on Long Island that does it. I know the place is nearby Lindenhurst, although it is not in Lindenhurst. I think it is located on Great Neck Road. They do anodizing there, I am sorry that I cannot help out with the name or more details.
