Remote Keyless entry

I am searching for an after market remote entry system. My 91 964 has automatic door locks, so I assume there are systems available to unlock and lock my doors from a remote fob. I only want to unlock and lock the doors, no starter, no alarm. I have a couple of questions about remote keyless access. One: what type of aftermarket system do you have? Two: how difficult was instillation?

Perry, I did this upgrade last summer. It is a relatively easy install. Check out Rennlist for all the details and do a search for "keyless remote" in the 964 forum. You can buy an aftermarket system that a lot of guys have used and it has worked great.

It patches right into the motorized locking system. The control module is located underneath the passenger seat. It may be in a different location for the 90 MY, I'm not sure but the info is in the thread. This is one of the best mods you can do for your car and I am puzzled why the car shipped from the factory with power door locks but no remote access. PM me if you have questions and good luck.

It unlocks and locks doors, opens the trunk and doubles as a 1GB Flash Drive. But it is not a key, or at least I don' think it is. Maybe it's a proximity key for the newer push start cars.
