*** proTUNING Freaks - 991 Turbo Cobb Accessport V3 with our protune*** INTRO promo
Hey guys, we're super excited about this coming Monday, August 3rd, 2015. 991 Turbo and Turbo S Cobb Accessport is being released and for the first 30 days we'll be offering a killer deal on the Accessports to 6speed members that will include our custom tuning services (protune).
We have had a great experience and really awesome feedback from customers on the 997.1 and 997.2 Turbo platforms for the past year and we've been with the BMW N54/N55 platform (motors found in the 135i/335i/435i and 1M) and have considerable experience with tuning the DFI platform specifically.
With just Off The Shelf (OTS) maps max gains of 40% over factory programming are available with an exhaust and 93 octane. Further peak gains are available on 100 octane in case you have it available. Even on a bone stock car with 91 octane you can expect gains of 26% in midrange over the factory programming.
Accessport device is a great datalogging and monitoring tool that allows us to take your car further and tailor the tuning to your car's specific modifications, octane, ambients and power/torque needs. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to get in touch with us. For the special offer please email us with your name, modifications on the car and shipping address and we'll do our best to get you the AP and our custom tuning asap.
We're a KLINE premier distributor and for those interested we can set you up with a Stage 2 package including the Cobb AP, KLINE 991 Turbo/S exhaust and our 991 Turbo / Turbo S proTUNE that will transform your 991 and take it to the next level of performance. Our custom tuning service carries lifetime support and our tuner staff is on always on standby to assist with answering any questions you may have, guiding you on the upgrade path/decisions and providing tuning changes to your initial maps without any additional/subsequent charges.

Having said all that we're excited that today is the 991 Cobb Accessport release day and we are getting bombarded with questions. Don't hesitate to ask us any questions at all from packaged prices to specifics on tuning. One really nice thing is that our experience tuning the 997.2 Turbo/S DFI platform is coming in very handy on the 991 as the two are very close to each other.
Here's a review of some numbers our recent remote customers have been running with minimal modifications and our protune out there:
Kayhan in Germany with just an exhaust running mid 5sec 100-200km/hr vbox verified times and MAHA dyno verified 680hp and 880Nm of torque at the crank:

Here's Toby (MonkeyLondon) in the UK, only hardware modifications are decat straight pipes running 98 RON octane (US 93):
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ods-begin.html
On the 997.1 platform we protuned Greyson's 997.1 turbo with pump 93 octane gas as well as E85 and he managed to obtain the current 997 OEM VTG platform vbox verified 60-130mph record times. Here's a blog article on Cobb Tuning's website on the work we've done there:
http://www.cobbtuning.com/porsche-po...130mph-record/
6speed article (ran a record 6.0 60-130mph initially and then managed to pull off a 5.9):

All of that was done with custom tuning and appropriate and carefully chosen parts for getting the goals these customers had so far completed. We realize that not everyone is after records and that for many just an additional bump in power that is safe and consistent is plenty and that our simple support in reviewing datalogs to make sure the car is running as well as it can possibly run is worth having. There is no expiry date on the protune or our support either.
Let us know if any other questions at all.

Hi guys, sorry we were away for much needed holidays for the past week. Feels great to get a full charge back in our bodies and start making some horsepower and faster cars on the roads out there
Obb,
In the case of the 991 platform (just like the 997.2) we're tuning and recommend going with the Aquamist HFS-4 kits for meth injection. Tuning overall is very similar to 997.2 and we're looking forward to running meth on the 991 platform as well. For the past few years we don't recall of a single boosted motor we've done at least locally that eventually didn't add meth injection. It has so many benefits over running simply on pump gas that we wouldn't have it any other way.
TTS,
Most of our tuning is done remotely. Even some of our local customers prefer tuning via email as its way more convenient for them to squeeze into their schedules. We've been doing this for many years now with the Cobb Accessport enabled platforms and with great success. If you search around the interwebz or visit our blog (blog.protuningfreaks.com) you can find many online reviews of our remote tuning work. For the platforms we support for custom tuning we see no advantage to dyno tuning vs. off-dyno in real world conditions. In fact if you have the road for it we recommend it over doing it on a dyno unless you're after a dyno graph and getting some numbers.
Let me know if any other questions at all, glad to help.
