Pirelli P Zero OEM tires
Just checked my tread depth on my original tires on my 2014 991 Turbo. Mileage is 10,500
Front 245's read at 6/32 (10/32 new)
Rear 305's read 5/32(9/32 new)
(1)Any thoughts on average miles other owners are getting on these OEM tires...
(2)Will be on Daytona Rolex course in December for eight 20 minute runs over two days.Would you run these tires or replace before this no speed limit DE event?

Would try the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, but they have been on back order since January. If I do get the Michelins, I'd get two sets or at lease a spare front and rear tire given their general lack of availability. The MPSS tires on my PGTS are excellent. P Zeros have been very durable on street and track, but would try Michelins on the TTS if I could get them.

I have about the same mileage and a bit more wear and will run one more HPDE on them.

Had those on my 997.2 Turbo S cab and was unimpressed... rough ride and very noisy. Jumped up a size from stock and bought Continentals. Huge improvement!!

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s, or Pirelli Trofeo R.
I have the sport cup 2s, replaced my OEM Pirello P Zeros with them. They were cheaper, alot more comfortable and alot better grip and turn better. Not sure about wear tho, I've had them for a couple months, tracked them once and so far they're still holding up fine.
And honestly I'd change the OEM tyres as soon as I feel like they're becoming sloppy, it's almost dangerous in less grippy streets, I've had a 4 wheel spin that almost got me out of control. Drove like a camry for the next day or two because of it. lol
The miles I had on the pirelli when I replaced them was around 25,000 KM~ which is about 16,000 miles. Now my car's at 45,000km holding up fine with PSC2s

if you have to ask...
I do not mean to be flippant, but inform them of their error and insist on mounting the PPS tires immediately. i like to talk to the service manager and the tech to be sure they get the message before work is done and check it with them after they do it.
