ALP Laser jammer / Stinger system installed (pics)
I finally got my car back from the ALP laser jammer 3front heads/2 rear with the Net Radar antenna as well as a Stinger Radar detector system...yes two systems...and I also had a Blackvue 650 2 channel video camera front/rear installed
Both radar antennas are behind the bumper cover.
He utilized two of the console control panel unused switches to control the power for the units
He even installed my Rennline front grills for me.
Firstly I must say the craftmanship was just absolutely top notch and intuitive. The work was completed by Darcy at FX Audio in Edmonton and I feel he took better care of my car than I do..(and I'm as **** as we come taping off the entry sill and exposed body panels and the odd towel over the seats and floor..
He crafted the mounting bases for the ALP sensors..as well as the mounting base for the Stinger screen and the base plate for the ALP ashtray mount. He also used aluminum mounting plate for the units cpu and controller and even wrapped all lines independently with loom...
So a few images..

I shoot with all pro line Canon glass and bodies...currently the bodies I use are Canon 1DX MKII,5D MKIII,7D,D60 (seldom use the latter two) and have extensive glass from fisheye to 600mm f4 MKII all tweaked in lightroom or Aperture which completes the magic

Pretty sure he's talking about the Blackvue in the car lol.

Doh !
It's okay..not great but acceptable....not as good as the older iTronics 100HD I also have..as although they've increased frame rates they decreased bitrates in the new Blackvues

Ya no kidding..photo laser (rear shots) is a big thing up here..and they use the Dragon so good luck to those with Blinder, Escort or LI...etc..been there..had em all and the ALP rules...now we'll see what all the noise is about with this Stinger stuff and I'm really pumped over the Net Radar too !!

did you add the net radar mrcd antenna? or any rear antenna?

The rear antenna is not for rear shots.
It's for the arrows so you can tell where the threat is coming from.
When that soft Ka band alert comes up its nice to know that it's behind you so there's no reason to worry, or if it's in front and you might be coming up on something.
Even for the minute number of real radar threats I face in my area, the two antennas have been worth their cost many times over.

Hardcore!! I'm assuming you live in one of the few places radar is legal in Canada. Such a Draconian country. I'm interested in the performance differences between the Stinger and the ALP/Net Radar. So far my NetRadar and segmented Redline have been within 2-3 seconds of each other on Ka. The Netradar is so quiet on K, it's awesome.

Yes detectors are legal here...I'm also curious to see how the two systems compare..I'm very anxious for the ALP iOS to be released as I'm really looking forward to the lockout feature of ALP..I'm certainly in learn mode with both systems running at the same time and with so many user setting options it's a little of whelming and what makes things really disappointing is that neither has a comprehensive user manual identifying all the option settings and results. But certainly for updates and support ALP rules..a firmware update just arrived today and the ALP tech allows wifi updates right from the iphone..how keen is that !!
I may consider a rear antenna should in the future I feel I'm a little naked back there

Nanook - now that you've had some time with this setup, what is your review of the ALP, Net Radar and Stinger systems?
Would you do exactly the same again?
I'm somewhat disappointed ALP hasn't released the software update for the Net Radar arrows yet.
