Blew out my CVG joint!

Last week, after two days at Sebring, the rubber boot on my LF CVG joint became loose, and cause it to fail.

I ask because last year my 2014 TTS car started making a loud clicking sound with the techart springs. Dealer told me it may because of the added stress the lowering springs added to the suspension. Not sure whom to believe.

Inner joint or outer joint.
inner is the only joint affected by suspension.

If just the clamp failed on the boot, I would not stress too much. It has to be replaced of course, but maybe just one of those things.

Keep in mind, the inner joint goes in and out to overcome suspension travel, the outer joint is to allow for the left/right. I would not associate this to being lowered.

Hope it works out quickly for you.

Mike
