OK here a very interesting vid where they've used bits and pieces from the 991 body combined with a modified 991 turbo engine plus a whole lot of other electrical elements which collectively make up the mule for the new 918 spider.

Amazing how fast it gets up to 240, after that it starts taking exponentially longer though.
I was expecting the driver to lift off waaaay earlier, must have been on the autobahn at 3am
