Found these instructions to reset oil light on 997...does it pertain to 991?
Experience?
!) Push inward on the trip ODO reset button- turn key to aux position (Forward one click from off) until the oil reset appears on the ODO screen
2) Press the odometer reset button a second time until the word "Reset" or "Re" appears on the screen. The word will continuously flash.
3) Press the odometer reset button quickly to complete the reset. "End SIA" appears to indicate a successful reset of the system.

I have the same habit. After 7 P-cars it certainly hasn't hurt. I do it around 1500 miles. Maybe I'm just superstitious.

FYI. The OE (mfg'd by Mann) filter for the 991 is the same P/N as the 987 Cayenne.
By far the easiest oil and filter change i've ever experienced on any car. thank you Porsche engineers!
