Arrow Porsche 991: Leather Interior choices explained

Hello y'all

I noticed that there is a lot of confusion regarding the different leather interior choices, Porsche offers.
Since there's no explaining sheet or list on the U.S. website to download, I decided to make one myself.
The german website offers the pricelist, where everything is pretty well explained of which parts are covered in leather and which parts are not.

I copied the drawings they use and translated the descriptions in english. I also tried to adapt the sheet as much as possible to the U.S. specifications, since these are slightly different from the German specs.

Here's a link to the PDF file (in Letter-format, so you can print it)
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=293355&d=1382682623

I hope it helps newbies and everybody that is in the ordering process.

UPDATE 10-25-2013:
- Explanation option XWK added
- Explanation regarding the odd pricing between 14- and 18- way seats added

- Error in numbering fixed

Those schematics are very thorough, yet I bet that if they were to add color to differentiate the different options, those schematics would be much easier to follow. Thanks for sharing!

Yes you're right. The drawings come from the pricelist and that is only in black&white, not in full color.
I have been thinking to do it by coloring the parts that are leather, but that took a bit too much work. Maybe I'll try that later

Nice!

What, if anything, does opting for red or espresso natural leather get you?

The same as the leather interior, but with a higher quality of leather, that has more natural grain and is thicker than the normal leather. Natural leather gets vat-dyed where the standard leather gets spray-dyed. Natural leather feels softer, is more supple and looks more luxurious. It also gets its patina faster because it has fewer finish layers.

Thanks! Now I have a better idea on what leather option means. I want the two tone agate gray and pebble interior and that's only available with the Leather Option but I didn't know what that actually meant.

Hello everybody,

I expanded and updated the PDF-sheet. You can find the new sheet in the first post.

My 1st Porsche...configure question

After many Bimmers, infinitis, and Acuras, looking to buy Macan (sight unseen!?). Having trouble with interior..White exterior with beige interior. I want leather / leatherette, but no alcantara. Current build code (PFRFCA97) includes Premium Pkg. plus, and 18-way "partial leather" (1st selection on interior page). There seems to be confusion regarding alcantara....dealer says no, but the 3D illustration looks like alcantara. Seats are heated and ventilated. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

Your build doesn't have the Alcantara roofliner. On Macan S, it's optional (code 6NA $1540).

Only Macan Turbo has Alcantara roofliner as standard.
